We wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter!! Makayla is every excited that the Easter Bunny is coming to see her tonight. She took her time in getting eggs ready before she went to sleep, she wanted to make sure that he could see all of them.

Answers to Prayer' s

I sometimes wonder why I have been through the things that I have been through in my life. And missed the opportunities that I should have taken. In essence to my answers I have finally reached a point in my life when I realize that life is too short to dwell on things that were missed. And to wonder about the what ifs of this world. A hard lesson to learn but a lesson well learned I must say.
David and I have a wonderful little girl though she is not biologically David's, he loves her as much as if she were his own flesh and blood. For the past 15 months we have been trying to get pregnant without any luck. We have thought and talked about adoption but never sure if it was the right thing for us to do or not. We started praying in November about what we should do.. though the fun of any marriage is trying to conceive and if it is god's will then it will happen. But the hardest decision of our lives was to choose adoption over fertility drugs. Why you might wonder well... their is no guarantee that it will work, their is not a promise of a pregnancy. The thought of it scares me to death and it's not sometimes that I have completely ruled out. But we also feel that the lord is leading us in a direction that will bring a lot of love all the way around.

Children are a blessing from god and so is being a parent. The blessing of giving a child a home when they do not have a stable environment is the greatest gift of love. It takes a special type of person to have the time and devotion of being able to adopt my heart goes out to children who are in a unhappy home life or do not have a mom and dad. I am truly blessed in my life that the lord has lead us to this point in our lives. It can only get better when god brings to people together as one, and then brings wonderful blessings into your home to be loved.

Weight Loss Update

Well last week's weigh in made my Valentines Day .... I hope this week's weight loss shows good results again. It is becoming such a good habit for me instead of feeling like I can't eat things any more. I have lost a lot of taste for candy and soda, well the soda started it all in December of last year. When I completely gave up regular soda. I drink a diet soda once in a while but I drink a lot more water than before.

Weight Loss Update

So it's my weight watcher's night...... went to my meeting this afternoon to be weighed in. I lost another 5 lbs this week. I am starting to notice my figure a little more.... my overall weight loss goal has changed to 120 lbs rather than 140. I feel really good... and have a lot more energy than I did have before. I am really happy about the progress that I have made in my weight loss journey!!!

Valentines Day

We celebrated our second Valentines Day as a married couple today.. and our third one as a couple!!! We decided about two weeks ago that instead of making it about us as a couple we would make today about our Makayla. So this is what we did...... We took her out to dinner, and came home and watched a movie as a family, we got her a box of chocolates and a teddy bear. We decided to make it about her and for her becasue our individual time as a couple is our Anniversary in December. It takes a lot of stress out of things in planning gifts and surprises!!! It's great!!!

Changes

Well I haven't wrote in along time..... so I figured it was time to write again... it's been a while since I have sat down to do this. My 30th birthday was really good.. David took me out to a nice Dinner with some friends and family. I made some new years resolutions this year.. I am not one to do that normally but this year I thought it was time. I have been battling with my weight for the better part of three years. I have gotten really frustrated with it. So I decided it was time to make a change, so the first thing that I did was gave up soda completely accept for the occasional diet drink. But that is far and few in between. The second thing that I did was joined weight watchers, I have been going for the past three weeks. Now mind you at Christmas time my scale said 209 and it hadn't moved in 6 months so I was really frustrated.... Well when you give up something like soda you tend to loose weight needless to say. I had not a clue how much weight I would loose by doing this simple task. When I went to my first weight watcher's meeting I weighted in at an even 200 lbs. Last week I weighed in at 194 lbs, and this week I weighed in at 190!!! I have lost 18 pounds since Christmas and 6 1/2 pounds in three weeks, All becasue I started eating right and changing my habits.... Let me tell you it feels really good.

I have never had any problems with my eyes until I turned 30.... and then it just went down hill... so I have to wear glasses now ... no big deal...... Makayla had to get them too. So not only did I loose weight I got sort of a new look too... hehehe!!!

This year has started off with a bang....... Tax Season is going smoothly as it can...... School is going great!!!! I am plugging along at it...... I am closer to graduation......... by a year!!

I am going to start posting more often now.... with weekly updates about things now...........

The Big Count Down

Well the big count down begins..........till my 30th birthday. Now mind you I am excited about turning 30 however, I am a little apprehensive about it as well. Considering at dinner tonight I was telling David that I have been out of high school 12 years this year. It caught me off guard when I thought about it at first. Because it seems just like yesterday I was graduating. Guess it's been a little longer than just yesterday. HUH???
So let the count down begin....... is this like counting down till new years???????????!!!!! :)
